Disclaimer: There are ads above because I have a free-hosting account. They're targeted based on the website's content, so most of them relate to things Jewish, but their presence shouldn't be misconstrued as any endorsement on my part. If you see ads from so-called "Messianic" synagogues or bookstores, click on them for the purpose of telling their sponsors where they can shove their missionary efforts.

Jewish spiritual beliefs and a lifestyle based in Torah. Social and political ideals grounded in the Sixties. A love of wordless Chassidic melodies. An equal love of rock, jazz, and other music that has nary an ai-yi-yi. Wanting to know the halachah. Wanting to know what's going on in the world. Caring about our fellow Jews. Caring about everybody else.
If we refuse to sacrifice any of these, how do we deal with the inevitable cognitive dissonance?
